Daniel James Maes

Daniel James Maes passed away on April 27th, 2025, in Westminster Colorado he was 58 years old. Danny was born to Jennie and Williams Maes of Brighton, and he attended Brighton High School, and he grew up with four brothers and one sister.

Danny enjoyed hanging out with his friends and siblings when he was younger and also loved to go fishing. My brother Danny was a kind gentle soul, and he just loved music, when he was growing up some of his favorite rock bands were Journey, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, ACDC and Judas Priest and as he got older, he loved all genres of music. Danny also loved to watch movies, but his favorite movies of all time were the Star Wars movies, he could watch Star Wars movies over and over again and never get tired of them. Danny's memory was long, and he loved to tell us stories about things he remembered from his childhood, Danny always had a way to make us laugh and smile and he will always remain in our hearts and our memories forever and we will miss him dearly. Danny loved his family, and he is now at peace with all of his loved ones that have passed on before him.

Danny is survived by his brother, Christopher Maes and his sister, Juanita Maes. By nieces, Sierra Maes, Lexsi Smith. Nephews, Tryston Smith and Jayden Berkman along with many other relatives and friends. Danny was preceded in death by his parents Jennie and William Paul Maes, his brothers Ronnie and Julian Ortega and Dennis Maes.
