It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of John Earl Cecil Stewart on Saturday, April 26, 2025 in hospital, Gatineau, Quebec at the age of 87. John is survived by his younger sister, Mildred Irvine of Morrisburg, Ontario. He is predeceased by his sisters, Betty (Art) Shore, Catherine (Howard) Knudsen, Bernice (Gordon) Johnston, June (Lowell) Heide. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Steven and Blaine Shore, Wendy, Randy and Brent Knudsen, Connie, Barry, and Kevin Johnston, David, Greg and Heather Heide and Robby, Roger, and Sharon (Babs) Quesnel.

John spent his life on the farm in Murrells, Quebec. John worked at the Timminco Plant at Foresters Fall, Ontario for over thirty years. The family wishes to acknowledge the enduring support of Kelly and John Ladouceur over the last several years of John’s life. We are also grateful to John’s neighbours for all of the kindness extended to him over the years, as his health declined.
