Felix A. Delgado Jr. was born in Bakersfield 8/25/1954 and died in Palmdale on 4/23/2025. His mother, Lupe, brothers Ed and Al preceded him in death. Felix is survived by his wife, Cynthia Chambers, his step son, Matt Chambers from Hawaii and Matt's daughters Amy and Christy of Japan, as well as his father Felix Delgado Sr. and brother David Delgado, and various cousins. Felix attended Guadalupe Catholic school and went to high school in Bakersfield at West High School. He graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Engineering and received his Master’s degree from Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles. He worked as an engineer at Vandenberg AFB for Lockheed, then Boeing and Rocketdyne at Canoga Park, Virgin Galactic in Long Beach and Blue Origin online in Palmdale. His hobbies were reading, movies, ballroom dancing, singing, and triathlons. He especially loved being an innovative engineer and spending time with his wife at their second home in Sahuarita, Arizona, the Hollywood Bowl, and L.A. Opera, as well as taking cruises and traveling internationally. The viewing/eulogy will be May 18, 11am to 3 pm at Halley Olsen Funeral Home in Lancaster, and Monday May 19 at 10am a Mass at St. Serra Catholic Church near Quartz Hill, followed by the burial at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery nearby. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to any of the following: World Kitchen, Catholic Charities, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, LA Opera, or the Hollywood Bowl, where a bench seat is dedicated to Felix & Cynthia.
