Jennifer “Jen” Morris, 41, of Mt. Carmel passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at her home in the Mesa Lake area.  She was born October 17, 1983 in Modesto, CA to Charles and Pamela (Cooksey) Morris.

Jen had lived in the Mesa Lake area for over 30 years moving there from California.  She had last worked as a Security Guard.  Jen loved the outdoors, camping and fishing.  On her trips back to California she would always go tent camping with her dad.  She enjoyed making and selling crafts and jewelry.

Jen is survived by her father, Charlie Morris and step-mother Katie Morris of Ceres, CA; step-sisters, Veronica Hernandez of Modesto and Jessica Mendoza of Ceres; aunts, Theresa Espinoza of Mt. Carmel, IL, and Sharon McCarthy of Cookson, OK. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pamela Cooksey; and aunts, Linda Aimes and Mary Renia Cooksey.

A memorial service honoring Jen's life will be held 12 pm. Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Spencer Gaines officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka.  Visitation will be held from 11 am until 12 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
