It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend Mr. Dominique Satterfield. Dominique left his earthly body on Sunday April 27, 2025. Born October 26,1983, Dominique was raised in Norfolk, Virginia.

He graduated from Green Run high school in Virginia Beach. As a US Army veteran, he served during Operation Enduring Freedom post 9/11. Following his military service, Dominique found a love of traveling and became a long-distance truck driver and instructor. He loved to box and became the first competitive boxer in the family. It was exciting to see him perform at Boo Williams Sports Complex in Hampton Virginia.

Described by others as being his own man, he was confident in expressing his intelligence, reasoning, and philosophies on life. Outspoken like his father, he also carried the respectful and gentle demeanor of his mother.

He is survived by his parents; Paul Broadnax and Doretha Grevious, his three beloved children; two sons, Dominique Satterfield II, Jett Adair Satterfield and daughter; Jozy Love Satterfield as well as his siblings; Paul D. Satterfield and Lakisa Satterfield, maternal grandmother, Mary Knight, nieces and nephews, Akela, Thomas, Asia, Ahmad, Hope and London. Dominique has several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and comrades that loved him and will miss him dearly. He is predeceased by his paternal grandmother Rosa Broadnax and maternal grandfather, George Knight.

We will miss his smile and the way his eyes lit up when holding and speaking of his kids. Fatherhood changed him. It provided a deeper sense of purpose and taught him what unconditional love truly means.
