Teofila "Fely" Yray Obituary

In Loving Memory of Teofila “Fely” Yray

November 3, 1951 – April 27, 2025

With deep sorrow and abiding love, we announce the passing of Teofila “Fely” Yray—a beloved mother, grandmother, devoted wife, and cherished friend—who entered eternal rest on April 27, 2025, in Glendale, Arizona, at the age of 73.

Born in Cebu, Philippines, on November 3, 1951, Fely eventually made Phoenix, Arizona, her second home, where she built a life rooted in faith, family, and unconditional love. A devoted parishioner of both Our Lady of the Valley and St. Raphael Catholic Churches, Fely’s presence was a source of warmth and light, touching many in her community.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Robert Yray, and their children: Marifil Lawas (Jerry), Andrew Yray (Cherry), and Lelannie Coats (Carlo). Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Lana Caliya Coats, Ace Yray, Andre Yray, Mary Jaye Lawas, Jerry Robert Lawas, Justine Ray Lawas, Jan Michael Lawas, Jessy Lawas, and Joshua Lawas—each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride.

Fely will be remembered for her radiant smile, joyful laughter, and boundless generosity. She lived a life of selfless devotion, always placing the needs of others before her own. Whether preparing a warm meal, extending a helping hand, or simply offering a kind word, her love was evident in all she did. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—family gatherings, church fellowship, bingo nights, and the occasional thrill of the slot machines.

Her life was a beautiful reflection of her deep faith and compassionate heart. Fely served her church with devotion, cared for her family with unwavering love, and uplifted those around her with quiet strength and grace. Her legacy is one of kindness, resilience, and deep, enduring love, inspiring to all who knew her.

Though we mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, embraced by God’s eternal love. Fely’s light will continue to shine in our hearts, and her spirit will live on in the love she so freely gave.
