Sostenes Angel Martinez, 28, of Victoria, Texas, passed away on April 27, 2025, in his hometown. Born on November 13, 1996, to Bobby Martinez and Stephanie Cano Martinez, Stepdad Gilbert Alvarado, Sostenes was a loving father, devoted son, and loyal brother whose presence touched the lives of all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved son, Easton King Martinez, and loving girlfriend Jacquelyn Luna both of Victoria, Tx ; his sisters, Joczelyn Martinez and Adalynn Alvarado; his brother, Ayden Cano; and numerous family members and friends who cherished him deeply. He is preceded in death by his brother, Gilbert Alvarado IV.

Family and friends will gather to honor Sostenes’s life on Thursday, May 8, 2025, with a visitation at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m., followed by a burial at Resurrection Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Lorenzo Longoria III, Izak Longoria, Josh Longoria, Alex Longoria, Mareus Cano, and Daniel Delgado. Honorary pallbearers include Jacob Longoria, Manuel Garcia, and Carlos Laguna.

Sostenes will be remembered for his strength, his love for family, and the lasting impact he made on those around him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
