Angie Ornelas Obituary

Angie Ornelas was born on May 14, 1947 in Tornillo,Texas to parents Ancelmo Ornelas and Concepcion Mendoza. She grew up in the town of Tornillo,Texas. The Ornelas family relocated to Bakersfield, California during her sophomore year of high school where she attended and graduated from Arvin High School.


Angie relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1968. During her stay she had two sons and one daughter. Angie confessed her life to Jehovah God in 1980.


Angie returned to Bakersfield California, in 1987 where she raised her three kids as a single mother. Many years ago Angie has shifted her focus and dedication from a previous faith to embrace Christ. She was employed as a care provider for IHSS in Kern County.


Angie adored spending time with her kids even more so with her grandkids. Her biggest enjoyment was watching and aiding in her grandkids growth. Being with them, gave her a sense of love and joy. It carried out a tenderness in her that is only described as a overwhelming love. Angie was caring, kind, giving, and dependable. She was quick tongued and ready to give you words of wisdom. Angie listened with a caring ear and spoke with conviction. She always had a sense of stability. Angie was a shining light full of strength and compassion.


Angie is survived by her daughter Yvonne Morgan, and husband Willie, her son Eduardo Salas. Angie leaves behind three grandchildren Brianna, Nicole, Serena.

Eight great grandchildren Jayden, Brian, Maia, Liam, Melenie, Rico, Emily, Anaya.

She is preceded in death by her father Ancelmo and mother Concepcion, her son Jason, her brothers Jessie and Raymundo, her sister Patricia. She is survived by her brothers Angelo and Herman, her sisters Juanita, Christina, Mary, Maggie, and Estella, nieces and nephews.


On April 23, 2025 Angie is now at peace in the arms of her Heavenly Father. May her soul rest in eternal peace. She will be forever loved and deeply missed.
