David Wesley Perkins

David Wesley Perkins was born on December 12, 1932, in Noble, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 83. David, the son of Albert Alonzo and Helen Marie (Medford) Perkins, was a long-time resident of Prague. After graduating from Norman High School in 1950, he married Rosalie Wheeler on July 3, 1954, in Franklin, Oklahoma. David’s passion was farming. He was also a skilled mechanic and his favorite pastime was working on and flying airplanes. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid trap shooter. David’s parents, brother, Kenneth Perkins, and sisters, Alice Clark and Irma McDonlett, three nephews, C.D. McDonlett, Jr., Gerald Clark, and Lonnie Clark preceded him in death. Survivors include: his wife of 61 years, Rosalie Perkins; daughters and son-in-law, Faye Ann Perkins of Tulsa and Gail Denise and Martin Landry of Allen, TX; granddaughter, Amelia Faye Landry of Allen, TX; nephews, Darrell Perkins of Choctaw and Glen Perkins of Sherman, TX; nieces, Gwendalee Herrerra of Pueblo, CO and Doris Clark Randolph of Norman; other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague. Interment will follow at Noble IOOF Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
