Echo Norris

Aug 17, 2014 - Apr 26, 2025

Echo was adopted as a kitten when her mom, Emily, was in high school, and they moved out together in 2020. Soon after, her mom adopted her baby brother, Goose. Echo loved Goose in her own way, sometimes even cuddling and giving him baths (though she'd do her best to rarely let you catch her in the act!), and she taught him everything she knew. She loved her mom a lot, but her very favorite human was Emily's partner, Seth, who Echo fell head-over-heels for immediately. She much preferred cuddling on or near her family than alone, and always kept her parents' spots on the bed and couch warm whenever they were away.

Echo thought she was the boss and she never let her parents or her brother forget it! She had an attitude for sure, but she was such a sweetheart. She loved cuddles and could lay on you for hours if you let her. She would watch birds out the window, make air biscuits, and stretch out for belly rubs. When she was excited, her tail would shake, and she had a loud, rumbly purr and squawky meow. Her favorite toys were craft pom poms that she would carry in her mouth and shout to the world about, laser pointers, and catnip. Her favorite places to lay were the armchair, the tallest platform of the cat tree, a hidey hole, and her favorite person's chest. Her nicknames included Eggo, Eggo Waffle, Echo Charles, Shaky Tail, Echo Baby, Baby Girl, and Sissy.

Echo would've been 11 years old in a few months. She had been ill recently and sadly couldn't make it in time for her vet appointment, passing early the morning of. Instead of hiding like expected, though, she waited for Seth to wake up then cried out in plain view. They cuddled until she let go shortly after while getting her final pets and love from Her Person. Echo is loved intensely and will forever be deeply missed by her parents and her brother, and everyone else who knew and loved her. She knew she was loved, and she loved back. She truly was a one of a kind soul and she will never be forgotten.

Rest in Peace, our Echo Baby!
