Aaron Louis Foster, Sr., was born March 23, 1952. He was a beloved son of the late Dorothy Griffin Foster and the late William Foster. He is the youngest brother of Joseph W. Foster Sr. and Regina Foster Smith of Antioch, Tennessee. Aaron was baptized at an early age, by the late Rev. Leroy Crinel at Antioch Baptist Church. Aaron is the proud father of Dayana (Emanuel Sr.) January, Amanda Williams and Aaron Foster Jr. (Natasha), Edgar Griffin (fiancee' Kizzie Dillion), Tamimyra Conerly. Aaron is affectionately known as "Bishop" in the music arena. He has been the Minister of Music for 50+ years and Aaron's love for gospel music showed with each organ keystroke. Aaron was the founder of The Phase 1 Gospel Ensemble, the Rev. David Bates Jr. Ensemble, and the Chorale. He was also a faithful and dedicated musician for the Ideal Association. On April 26, 2025, at 8:22 pm, Aaron Louis Foster Sr. answered his final call and was summoned to his heavenly home, where he will be joining his mother and father, his son, Charles Thomas "Puppie" Watts III and his daughter, ChonBriel Watts. His sisters-in-law, Rita Foster, and Yvette Bowen. Aaron leaves to cherish his memory, his Forever Love, Romanda Smith Foster, his children, grandchildren, great-grandson, brother, and sister, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended relatives. Also, his church families and cherished friends and let us not forget his Goodwill Industries family. Aaron's life reflected devotion to God and to his family. His legacy of faith and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. The Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, May 9, 2025, viewing at 8 a.m. followed by 9:00 a.m. service, at The Holy Faith Temple Baptist Church 1325 Governor Nicholls Street, New Orleans, LA 70116.
