Sherry K. (Probasco) Frisch, 76, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, in Washington Township, Ohio. Her life was a testament to kindness, faith, and a profound love for animals and people.
Born on April 22, 1949, in Crooksville, Ohio, Sherry grew up in the close-knit community of her hometown. She graduated from Crooksville High School in 1967 and pursued her passion for service, first at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Washington, D.C., and later at The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she worked as an administrative assistant until retirement.
Sherry’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. A firm believer in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, she lived with compassion and grace each day. Her friendly and outgoing nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met; she had an extraordinary gift for remembering names and making others feel seen and valued.
She is survived by her brothers, Jim (Jan) Probasco and Dick (Connie) Probasco; her nieces and nephews: Dana Probasco, Jennifer (Roby) Roberts, Brad (Rebecca) Probasco, Tena (John) Broglin, Erika (Matt) Morgan, and Brent (Lori) Probasco; along with many grand-nieces and nephews who brought joy to her life. Sherry cherished her granddaughter, Micayla Rodriguez, deeply.
Sherry carried the memory of her beloved son, Adam C. Frisch, with enduring love, along with those of her mother, Marion (Holm) Probasco, her father, Rex (Dorothy) Probasco, and her half-brother, Tommy (Elaine) Probasco.
Sherry loved tending to her garden, nurturing her plants with great care and enthusiasm. Her love for animals was boundless, encompassing everything from household pets to concerns about animal adoption. Sherry also delighted in attending Indian Powwows and Renaissance Fairs, where she enthusiastically embraced the rich traditions and colorful celebrations.
A private family burial will take place at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington, Ohio at a later date.
