Nancy A. (Nischwitz) Essex

Essex, Nancy A. (Nischwitz) Age 86, of Kenmore, WA, formerly of Trotwood, joined her late husband Ray; daughter, Susan Donson; & Brother, Ned Nischwitz in Heaven on February 27, 2019. Nancy was born on January 24, 1933 in Defiance, Ohio, to her late parents, Wylie & Pauline (Myers) Nischwitz. During her 86 years Nancy touched many lives while being a wife, sister, mother, grandmother, educator, & friend. Nancy retired after 43 years teaching K-6 children with learning disabilities in the Trotwood-Madison School District. Many children are proud to say they are thankful to Mrs. Nancy Essex for teaching them to read. After retiring she continued her passion by helping some adults in the Trotwood area learn to read. Nancy is survived by her cousin/sister-in-law Ann Essex (George), son Jon Essex, daughter-in-law Susanne Carscallen, grandchildren Jordan Donson (Kate), Chelsea Barres (Jason), Hunter & Rylie Essex, great-grandchildren Harper & Charlotte. The family will receive friends Friday, March 29, 2019 from 11AM to 12PM at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church, 525 N. Broadway, Trotwood, OH 45426. The funeral service will begin at 12PM with burial to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Trotwood. In-lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy’s memory to: Hospice Foundation of America or any charity of your choice.
