Steven Lane Short Obituary
Steven Lane Short, age 71, of Ellettsville, Indiana passed away at home on Sunday, April 27, 2025. He was born in Illinois on February 5, 1954 to Estele and Clara (Meeks) Short. Steve was a member of Bloomington Moose lodge #1081, Amvets Auxiliary 2000, and Bloomington Eagles #3208. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, 4th of July parties, and spending time with friends, especially at Kenny’s Tavern in Ellettsville.
Steve is survived by his children, Jason Short (Shawna), Steven Short (Crystal), and Stephanie Hacker (Randy), step-children, Marty Cain (Missy), Michelle Cain, Tracey Forrest (Bryan), and Patrick Wilson, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and sister, Karen Arthur.
Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Short, parents, and sister, Deborah Garrett.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date for Steve.
