Elizabeth Jenkins (Brown) was born on June 9, 1942 to the late Rev. P.S. Jenkins Sr. and Mary Kirkland Jenkins of Gainesville, AL. She transitioned from her life's journey on Friday April 25, 2025.
Elizabeth started her faith journey at an early age by accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church in Gainesville, AL.
She became assistant pastor under the leadership of Reverend Lorenzo Mitchell at Epsibeth Baptist Church in Montevallo, AL.
She also was a college graduate. She attended the Tennessee School of Religion in Montevallo, AL received and received her certificate Christian Training. After graduation, she spent years doing what she loved most, "teaching children". Because of her love for children, she became a home daycare provider. While working in this role, she earned the reputation as a great teacher. She later received her Certificate of Ministry and was ordained to be a minister. She continued striving for greatness and received her Missionary License.
Elizabeth was married to Bobby Glenn Brown who she loved to the end of time and preceded her in death. Her sister Annie Lee Jones, sister Irene Walker and three brothers John, Wilbert, and Frank Jenkins Sr. also preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her devoted daughters: Sonya (Ronnie) of Montevallo AL, Chiquita (Jereme) of Hoover, AL, and Taquita (Shaun) of Madison, WI; son, Michael (Maggie) of Fayetteville, NC; sisters, (James) and Bessie (Marvin); brother,
P. S. (Christine), seven grandchildren: Jeremiah, Nylah, Titus, Assad, Milo, Myles, and Maylah; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
