Our beloved sister, mother, wife, grandma Nuna Talk, age 74, from Shiprock, NM.

Nuna passed away peacefully in her home in Kirtland, NM on Sunday morning, April 27, 2025.

Nuna Talk was born on January 22, 1950, to her parents Alfred Talk and Rose Talk both decrease and both were from Shiprock, NM. Nuna has one surviving brother Lewis Talk of Shiprock NM and three siblings Thompson Talk, Tony Talk Sr. and James Talk and a sister whom are all deceased and all were from Shiprock, NM. Nuna Talk is retired she worked over 30 years as Business Manager at Bureau of Indian Education Building in Shiprock NM.

Nuna is survived by her husband James M Simpson of Kirtland NM 87420, and her two children, a son James Michael Simpson and his five children of Albuquerque, NM, and a daughter Cheryl Simpson-Sammons and her five children of Albuquerque, NM. Nuna will be missed very much and will never be forgotten, her memories will be with us forever. Nuna was a confident strong fighting lady who never gave up no matter the situation. Recently she had said week before she passed on, she said, "I'll just leave it all in God’s hands, and he is the only one who really knows what’s best for me she said".

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 11:00AM-12:00PM at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Shiprock, NM, with Father Patrick Wedeking to officiate. Burial to follow at Shiprock Community Cemetery.
