GIRARD - Susan R. Patterson, 70, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, in the comfort of her home with her family by her side.
Susan was born Feb. 2, 1955, in Point Pleasant, W.Va., a daughter of the late Wallace L. and Jacqueline V. Patterson. She was a graduate of Fairborn High School and earned her nursing degree from Youngstown State University.
She dedicated more than 34 years to her career as a registered nurse, serving at various facilities throughout the area before retiring. Susan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Girard. Family was everything to Susan and being a grandma was her favorite “job.”
Susan is survived by her three children, Hillary Patterson of New Brighton, PA., twins, McKenzie (Robert) Veauthier of Austintown and Spencer Patterson, with whom she shared her home; two grandsons, James and Chase; her three siblings, Carol (Daivd) Stackman of Fairborn, Jeff Patterson of Mineral Ridge and Linda (Peter) Tedde of Hubbard; as well as many extended family members.
Private services were held Thursday May 1, 2025 at Kinnick Funeral Home in Girard.
Interment took place Friday, May 2, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, WVA.
