Gary Brian Wilson, a man of friendly spirit and adventurous heart, passed away on April 27, 2025, in his hometown of Evansville, IN, at the age of 57. Born on October 28, 1967, to Charlie Wilson and the late Deanna Williams, Gary lived a life marked by creativity and a deep love for the simple treasures of the earth.

A proud graduate of Oakland City University, Gary earned his Associate

in Arts in 2003. His intellectual curiosity was matched by his love for the outdoors, where he indulged in his passion for discovering Indian artifacts, arrowheads, rocks, and old bottles. These pursuits brought joy to Gary.

Gary leaves behind a legacy of warmth and curiosity, survived by his father, Charlie Wilson (Christine); brother, Jeff Wilson (Rose); daughter, Ashley Welden (Jason); and his cherished grandchildren, Bentley and Sophia Welden. He is predeceased by his mother, Deanna Williams, and brother, Scott Wilson. His extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and niece will also hold dear the memory of Gary's

companionship and kindness.

Gary will be remembered as a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew him, embodying the essence of a life well-loved. His absence will be deeply felt, but the memories he created will forever be a comfort to his family and friends.
