Barbara Whitehurst, 86, of Marion, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 6:30 am. Born on January 2, 1939, in Paris, Kentucky, to Chester and Agnes (Baker) Vickers, Barbara lived a life full of love and dedication. She married Richard Whitehurst on April 20, 1956, and they shared many wonderful years together until his passing.

Barbara was a devoted homemaker, known for her heart of gold and zest for life. She generously volunteered at Marion General Hospital for many years, touching countless lives with her kindness. Barbara had a passion for sewing, cooking, and painting, hobbies that brought joy to her and those around her.

She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Whitehurst of Las Vegas, NV, and Todd (Kim) Whitehurst of Marion; her daughter, Denise (Tim) Cameron of Warren; and her beloved grandchildren, Chris Whitehurst, Matt Whitehurst, Elizabeth Whitehurst, Courtney Whitehurst, Nathan Jones, Jacob Jones, Brant Adams, Jeffrey Whitehurst, and Adrian Whitehurst.

Barbara was also preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Agnes Maud Vickers; her husband, Richard Whitehurst; and sister, Lillie Watters.

In accordance with Barbara's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Her family will cherish her memory and the legacy of love and warmth she leaves behind.
