James Frank Cavallo Obituary

James Frank Cavallo, 88 died Sunday, April 27, 2025, in his home surrounded by his family. Born in Brooklyn, New York, November 1, 1936, he was the youngest of four children born to Frank and Mary Cavallo. He worked on the Long Island as a Court Reporter until he retired and moved to Mount Airy, North Carolina with his wife, Alice. They purchased and restored a Queen Anne Victorian home which once complete was a community gem. He loved to cook and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. In Mount Airy, he was active with his church as the Office Assistant, Sunday School Director and drove the fun lover's bus for many years.

James is survived by his wife, Alice Cavallo, his children, JoanAnn Cavallo (Suzanne Ketcham), Maria Nathan (Neal) and Frank Cavallo (Deborah); his grandchildren, Michael Nathan, Danielle Nathan, Christina Hoda, Matthew Nathan, Gregory Cavallo, Scott Cavallo and Nicholas Chase Watkins. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Nikolas Nathan and Olivia Grace Cavallo. James was preceded in death by his step daughter, Laura Tagliamonte and his siblings, Dominick Cavallo, Josephine Callahan and Rose Heyder.

A private memorial service for the family is planned for Saturday, May 3, 2025. He was special to each of us and will remain forever in our hearts.
