Robert Brian Morris Obituary

Robert B. Morris, 63 of Gloucester, proud Veteran of the United States Coast Guard; died peacefully on April 27th. Born in Gloucester, he was the son to the late Harold and Mary Lane (Swinson) Morris.


A lifelong resident, Rob was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. Rob’s love of the outdoors was demonstrated through his 25-year career as a local landscaper. Rob’s strong work ethic and caring nature also led to his secondary job as a food service employee for Addison gilbert hospital. He found his joy near the water especially rowing and cruising in his beloved boat, he was an avid lover of music. Robert loved his friends and family and will be missed by all.


Robert is survived by his significant other, Darice Doucette of Gloucester; two brothers; John and his wife, Joan of Gloucester, Gary Morris of Gloucester; Step-daughter Mariah Gauthier of Gloucester, two step-grandchildren Henry and Evie, one nephew, Jared Christo of Stoneham. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Morris.


His graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Gloucester on Monday, May 12th at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements by Campbell Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com
