Stacie Burkhart, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa, after an extended illness. She was 58 years old.

Born on June 5, 1966, in Davenport, Iowa, Stacie lived a life filled with passion, kindness, and an enduring love for her family and animals. Those who knew Stacie will always remember her strong will, her spirited nature, her generous heart, and the selflessness she showed to everyone around her.

Her compassion knew no bounds—whether she was caring for her beloved pets, supporting family and friends, or lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Stacie’s vibrant spirit, and loving soul, touched countless lives and she leaves a lasting legacy of love, kindness and strength.

Those left to honor her memory are; her father, Christopher Burkhart (Lea Ann) San Antonio, Texas; her sister, Jennifer Burkhart (Bobby) Davenport, Iowa; her brothers, Chandler Burkhart Rockwall, Texas and Joe Burkhart San Antonio, Texas. Her cherished nieces and nephews, Brandon Burkhart, Alexis Harris, Patrick Burkhart, Aysia Harris, Benjamin Burkhart, Wander Burkhart. Her cousin James (Becky) Bailey. Her many precious great nieces and nephews. And a special friend Bobby Long.

Stacie now joins her mother, Judith West; her grandparents, Rollin and Betty Burkhart, and Katherine Holt; her aunt, Nancy Burkhart; and all her Fur Babies in heaven.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Stacie’s honor to a local animal shelter, or charity of choice.
