It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Rosemary Mark at the Timmins District Hospital on April 27th, 2025.  Rosemary was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1943, but called South Porcupine and Timmins her home for well over 40 years.  She was predeceased by her husband, her soulmate, Norman Mark. Also predeceased by her brothers Bill, Frank, Roy, Kenny, Raymond and Johnny. She is survived by her children Don (Marilyn) and Suzanne (Dan), and her stepsons Rob (Monique), Don (Mary-Jo), Doug and Shawn (Darlene). Grandchildren Jennifer, Lindsey, Sarah, Jerra, Christopher, Ryan, Kristi, Aaron, Jessi, Tamara, Dan and Brittney, along with many Great Grandchildren.

Rosemary was a woman of faith, and as such, her and Norm attended many different churches over the years, wherever they happened to call home at the time. During the younger years, they had an entrepreneurial spirit, and owned several small businesses in Timmins and South Porcupine. She was happiest in life when puttering around the kitchen or fussing over the details of the camper trailers they owned.

Her children and grandchildren were an infinite source of pride, as could be seen by the multitude of pictures and artwork hanging about. From tithing to the church and donating to kids in Africa, they were overly generous with the whatever funds they had. She wanted nobody to go without or be forgotten on any occasion. It should also be noted, as anyone that knew Rosemary could attest, a keen sense of fashion and looking ones “best” at all times was very important to her.  

Visitation will take place at Stinson Funeral Home,100 Bruce Avenue, South Porcupine, from 12:00 to 1:30 pm, followed by a short service, on Saturday May 3rd, 2025.

Donations to the Diabetes Association or Operation Smile would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
