Linda Gayle Heidelberg Obituary

Linda Gayle Heidelberg, age 88, passed away on April 27, 2025, in Graceville, Florida. She was a native of Baldwin County but had spent the last 2 ½ years living next door to her son, David and his wife, Marsha in Ozark, AL. She was born on September 5th, 1936, in Clinton, KY to Ralph and Jayne (Norman) Watson. At an early age she moved to Silverhill, AL with her brother, Ralph, and her grandmother, Mellie Norman. She loved to oil paint, cook big meals, watch old westerns, and eat Mr. Goodbars. She was an ardent dog lover.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Paul N. Edhegard and Stanley Heidelberg; her parents; her brother, Ralph Watson; and her beloved grandmother, Mellie.

She is survived by her two devoted sons, Dr. Kim David Edhegard (Th.D.) and his wife, Marsha and Paul Alan Edhegard (Th.M.) and his wife, Patty; five grandchildren, Dr. Kim D. Edhegard II (M.D.) and his wife, Anna, Mark Edhegard, Molly Fried and her husband, Samuel, Jake Edhegard and his wife, Loni, Dr. Forrest Edhegard (DMD.); eight great grandchildren, Anna Claire, Grace Ellen, Rhett, Rosie Edhegard, Gracie, Isaiah, Luke, and Eliza Fried; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are three siblings, Daryl Lynn Kepner and Scott Watson both of Cape Girardeau, MO and Frank Nichol of Paducah, KY.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 2 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale, AL with Dr. K. David Edhegard officiating. Burial will follow in Silverhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a reputable veteran’s charity or animal shelter.
