Terry Maurice Morgan Obituary

Terry Maurice Morgan, affectionately known as “Tee,” unexpectedly passed away on April 27th, 2025, at the age of 35.

Born on January 30th, 1990, at Sentara Hampton General Hospital in Hampton, Virginia, Terry was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Elaine Mason Porter, George Thomas Mason, John C. Warren, and Edith Morgan, as well as his aunt Marie A. Mason and uncle Frank T. Mason.

Terry spent his early years in North Carolina, where he attended Northampton County High School-East and later earned his diploma from Miracle Tabernacle Christian School. From a young age, he dedicated his life to Christ and remained a devout Christian throughout his life.

Terry was employed with Fresh Point in Orlando, Florida, where he was known for his strong work ethic and generous heart. He was a people person who brought warmth and kindness to everyone he met—those who knew him couldn’t help but love him. He had a passion for football, with the New York Giants being his favorite team. He also enjoyed roller skating and playing on his beloved PS5.

On his journey through life, Terry was blessed with a beautiful family. He was united in holy matrimony to Cristana Velez, and together they shared 17 wonderful years filled with love, joy, and unwavering devotion to one another and their family.

Terry leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Cristana, and their six beautiful children: Mariah, Sophia, Kataliah, Terry Jr., and twin boys Tayson and Terryn Morgan. He is also survived by his mother Gladys Britt and father Donnell Morgan (Irene), both of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; mother-in-law Janette Torres and father-in-law Luiz Velez, both of Orlando, Florida; sister Ciara Morgan (Mearl); two brothers, Larry Britt (Keyonna) and Maurice Morgan, all of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Milardis Velez (Ronaldo) of Springfield, Massachusetts, and Alaisha Velez (Geovanni) of Concord, North Carolina; brothers-in-law Cristian Torres (Francheska) and Christopher Torres (Jaineliz) of New London, Connecticut, Anthony Velez (Isabella) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Jayden Velez of Springfield, Massachusetts.

Terry is also mourned by his uncles James Mason (Denise) of Greensboro, North Carolina; Richard Mason (Lorann) of Garysburg, North Carolina; and David Ford of Newark, New Jersey; aunts Judie Barnes (James) of Galatia, North Carolina, and Mildred Gunn of Newark, New Jersey.

He leaves behind his nephew Yunt’e Britt, four other nephews, two nieces-in-law, one goddaughter Mileyshika, and one godson Elijah. His memory is also cherished by a host of close relatives and friends, as well as extended family from the Mason, Velez, Torres, Talbert, Bell, Moody, Riddick, Neal, Rodgers, Mills, and Barnes families.

Terry will be remembered for his infectious smile, kind spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
