George A. Flournoy, affectionately known to everyone as “Bubba”, passed away on Saturday April 26, 2025, at the age of 78. To know Bubba was to know love and empathy. This translated into a storied law practice of nearly 50 years, where he fought for justice for those who could not fight for themselves with all his might. Bubba had a tremendous passion for travel and filling the home he and his wife Nancy shared with great food and laughter every chance they could. He loved his LSU Tigers, being a season ticket holder for over 40 years and cheering his Tigers on every chance he could, whether in person or on TV, even while on safari in the middle of the Serengeti. He is survived by the love of his life, Nancy Flournoy, who he adored with all his heart, along with his family and friends who he loved so deeply. At the end, Bubba’s heart was full, as it was the only way he knew to live. Just as Bubba would end every phone call, Geaux Tigers.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a future date to honor his memory.
The family request that memorials be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 1620 Murray St. Alexandria, LA 71301.
