Henry B. Richardson Obituary

Henry B. Richardson, 78, passed away peacefully Sunday April 27, 2025 surrounded by his loving family members at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on October 2, 1946 in Demopolis, Alabama. He moved to Toledo in 1968. His birth parents were Kathleen Richardson and Eugene Pettaway. He married Vanessa White on October 9, 1971. Three children were born from this union, Armon Sr., Danell and Veronica.


Henry was preceded in death by his mother , Kathleen Espinosa, step-father Ramon Espinosa, father Eugene Pettaway, brothers Peter Hood and Bruce Tucker, Sister Joyce Tucker, grandmother Minnie Lee Richardson and brother-in-law Daryll White.


He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years Vanessa, sons Armon Sr. (Kia) and Danell, daughter Veronica, sisters Catherine Hamilton (Jerry) and Minnie Young. Grandchildren, Armon Jr., Christopher, Taron, Julius (Boogie) Dashawn, ReAsia and Arionna, brother-in-law, Lavernior, Creston, Derwin and Gerald White, sister-in-law, Lorella Cargile, Rolanda Gooden and DeLaura White. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, relatives and friends.


Henry loved Jehovah God and Jesus Christ very much. He took every opportunity to witness to people, even down to his death.


Henry was a loving husband, father to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He worked at Ford Motor Company for 40 years and was a veteran. He enjoyed his race cars and fried chicken.


We will miss him deeply and look forward to seeing him in the Resurrection.


Jesus also said "I am the Resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me even though he dies will come to life and everyone who is living and exercises faith in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
