Isla McCullough, 89, passed away on April 23, 2025 at her home in Centerpoint. She was born in Brazil, Indiana on April 8, 1936 to the late Clarence and Waneta (Woods) Zurcher. Isla was Valedictorian of the class of 1954 at Clay City High School and married Don McCullough. After raising their children, Isla and Don moved to Kayenta, Arizona where he worked for Peabody Coal Mine and she worked for a hotel and restaurant. They returned to Centerpoint in 1991.
Isla enjoyed going to yard sales, working in the yard, tending her flowers and spend time with family and friends. Isla was preceded in death by her husband, Don McCullough; brothers, Ray and Dale Zurcher; sister, Barbara Perkins; and her grandson, Jeremy Godfrey.
Survivors include her son, Jack McCullough; daughter, Anita (Brian) Godfrey; grandchildren, Gregory (Heather) McCullough and Ezekiel (Shannon Alexander) Godfrey; great-grandchildren, Maddi and Kaleb McCullough; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Isla’s cremation arrangements.
