Wanda Thompson was born January 30, 1946, in Clarksdale, MS. Her parents were Maurine Gable and Woodrow Lilly of Clarksdale, MS. Wanda graduated from Clarksdale Coahoma High School in 1964. Wanda was a member of several clubs and was selected for Home Coming Court for two years. After high school graduation, she attended Northwest Community College. For many years, she was employed by Macys. Wanda was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and loved her church dearly. In recent years, she has been a realtor. She is survived by her beloved son, Donald Thompson; sister Rena Dantone (Jerry); and devoted friends Perry and Carol Renaldo of Hernando. The family will be receiving friends Friday, May 2nd, from 12-1 pm with services beginning at 1 pm all at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hernando, MS. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church.
