Charles Jermaine Rooks (Boog)(Big Guy), 47, of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025. He was born July 1, 1977, at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio, to Charles Cecil Wallace and Angela Kay Rooks.
Charles was a proud graduate of Licking Heights High School, where he starred on the basketball team and earned numerous awards for his talent and passion on the court. His love for sports extended far beyond high school, he was a dedicated Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed watching, playing, and betting on sports, especially basketball his love.

Charles had a deep love for his family and was especially close to his nieces and nephews: Destiny, Jaden, Alexis, and Jordan. He cherished every moment spent with them. He also held a strong bond with his siblings Temika Patrick(Jason) Kip Rooks(Jammie) and Tanisha Wallace.

Above all, Charles shared a special and unbreakable bond with his mother, Angela Kay Rooks. She was his rock. Their connection was one of deep love, mutual respect, and tough love that shaped his life in countless ways.

Charles also had a deep respect and love for all his uncles, aunts, and cousins always enjoying family gatherings and the closeness they brought. He was also a people person that loved his friends and knew no stranger.

He is preceded in death by his grandmothers Vivian Rooks and Helen "Libby" Wallace, his grandfathers Robert Rooks and Charles Wallace Sr, and his father, Charles Wallace. Though his presence will be deeply missed, the memories, laughter, and love he shared will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He will forever be remembered for his loyalty, his competitive spirit, his huge heart, and the love he had for his family and friends. 

Life Celebration 12PM Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Reynoldsburg Church of Christ, 1649 Graham Rf., Reynoldsburg, Ohio.  Family will receive friends 11AM until time of service.
