Howard G. Carter, Sr. 66, of Binghamton, formerly of Newark Valley, passed away suddenly on April 26, 2025. Born on May 27, 1958, Howard was the son of Howard and Genevieve (Hill) Carter.

He is survived by his mother Genevieve Carter, his children, Howard Carter Jr., Brian Carter, Cinnamon Peppin, Caleb Carter, his beloved grandchildren Damion Carter, Tobias Carter, Tristan Carter, Hailey, Carter, Liam Carter, Ryley Miller, Lewis Peppin, Landon Carter, Cameron Carter, his siblings Edward (Debbie) Carter, Florance (Bob) Hall, Becky Carter, and her spouse, as well as many Aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many loving friends.

He was predeceased by his father Howard C. Carter in 2015.

Howard spent many years working in maintenance at American Board in Vestal, where he was considered a jack of all trades with an ability to fix any problem that may arise. In his spare time, he could often be found fishing.

Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig Street, Newark Valley, NY. All are invited to a picnic lunch and benefit at the Trout Ponds in Newark Valley following his visitation, please bring a dish to pass.
