Linda Maria Hardy, age 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 26th, 2025, in Kingston, Ontario, with loved ones by her side. She was born on March 28th, 1956, to Thomas and Philomena Polstra in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. The family moved to Bramalea, Ontario, where Linda made many lifelong friends who will always remember the great parties and trips to Europe, Florida, and New York. Linda married Daniel James Hardy on July 23rd, 1983, in Toronto, Ontario. Linda and Dan had two children, Joel and Shane, and they settled in Ajax, Ontario. When the kids were young, family, and close friends greatly enjoyed pool parties at Oma & Opa’s house and trips to Nova Scotia, South Carolina, and Disney World. In the early years in Ajax, Linda took up folk art and developed new long-time friendships. The girls will remember much loved paint nights with Linda, which involved some painting, some crafting, and lots of wine and laughter. New friendships also developed that included trips with the girls to New York, California, Ottawa, Kingston, and Montreal. Linda loved weekly bowling night. She never got the highest scores, but did attend a few tournaments and added many new friends to the long list of people who cherished her company. She also loved to cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays (and curse whoever was playing them). On her 30th anniversary, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of visiting Hawaii with her beloved husband, Dan. Linda survived by her sister Margaret Capozzi, husband Dan, son Joel and his partner Brandy, son Shane and daughter-in-law Desiree, and granddaughters Charlotte and Eloise.
