Alice Faye Colomb Obituary

LAFAYETTE ~ Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lafayette for Alice Faye Colomb, age 83, who passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at her daughter’s residence in Lafayette.


Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Rick Andrus, pastor of St. Anthony Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.


Mrs. Colomb was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette having been a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing poker with her friends and family and enjoyed collecting owls. Mrs. Colomb was the matriarch of her family. Her door was always open; everyone was her favorite and she was a friend to all.


Survivors include two sons, Brandon Colomb of Lafayette and Mark Colomb, Sr. and his wife, Tyra, of Texas; three daughters, Natalie Benjamin and her husband, Alex, Deitra Willis and her husband, Barron, all of Lafayette, and Monica Haywood of Texas; nine grandchildren, Kandance Castille, Shatravin Hamilton, Raylynn Paul, Isaiah Benjamin, Aaron Benjamin, Chyna Colomb, Mark Colomb, Jr., Robin Colomb, and Steven Haywood, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Nova Henry and Paige Colomb; and one brother, Alen Breaux and his wife, Gertrude, of Henderson.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucius Colomb; four brothers, Authur Breaux, Emanuel Breaux, Albert Breaux and Robert Breaux; and seven sisters, Dorothy Francis, Laura Malveaux, Anita Smith, Seloma Lebleu, Alnester Washington, Leona Brooks, and Evelyn Clemons.


The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 a.m. Tuesday until service time on Tuesday.
