Betty Joyce Newberry age 80, of Sturgis, Michigan, passed away Sunday afternoon April 27, 2025, at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis.
She was born on March 13, 1945, in Richford, Vermont.
Betty resided in Sturgis for over 30 years, coming from California.
Betty retired from Ross Laboratories in Sturgis following over 20 years of dedicated employment.
Betty was a veteran of the U.S. Army earning the rank of PFC.
She was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. Betty enjoyed playing golf, cooking and wintering in Gold Canyon, Arizona for several years.
She is survived by her husband: Gerald; daughter: Janie Ramsey of Gallatin, Tennessee; son: Charles J. Patterson of Fort Worth, Texas, and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sons: Bobby Newberry and Patrick Patterson and sister: Shirley Birch.
In honoring Betty’s wishes cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
