Mother and best friend to her daughter Cristy Rosenhahn and her husband, Scott Rosenhahn. Grammy and bestie to Shelby Rosenhahn. She also leaves her cousin’s Dawn Hyde and her husband Christopher and their children, Chelsea Shelley and her Husband Jeremy; Lindsay Hyde: Adam Hyde; and Ashley Hyde Darrigo and her husband Anthony.

Joanne loved her family fiercely. She always had a smile, a big hug and kiss and how she loved to watch her granddaughter play softball and their day trips to Rockport and the Cape. (Dates with Gram as Shelby called them). She had taught sixth grade in the Ayer, MA school system at Paige School early in her career before leaving to sell employee benefits which she did for over thirty years. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years in Chelmsford.

While she had left teaching, her passion to lead and teach was always with her and she lead a writer’s group for several years in Athol. Her faith was her strength and she co-lead “The Honeybees” faith group at Faith Community Church of Hopkinton for several years. She loved her “Honeybees”. She had also sat on the New England Council of Methodist Churches Bishops Initiative for Children in Poverty and the Montachusett Suicide Prevention Task Force.

Calling hours will be held at Roney Funeral Home in Grafton, MA Monday May 5, 2025 4-7 p.m Please wear Spring colors as Joanne would want everyone to be happy.

Joanne’s funeral services will be held at Roney Funeral Home on Tuesday May 6, 2025 at 11:00 am. Please wear Spring colors. The family will bring her home one final time to Chelmsford for burial following.
