Joseph Donald Morfe, age 91, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. A man of deep faith and boundless kindness, Joseph was a loving husband to his late wife Erna, caring father to Michael Morfe and his wife Carmen, Patricia A. Morfe, and a cherished patriarch to his grandchildren, Brendon and wife Anna, Lauren Karyczak and husband Sean, and Jonathan. His joy was multiplied as a great-grandfather to Graham, Elinor, and Cameron.

Born on September 1, 1933, in Baltimore, Joseph was a devoted brother to Roland and his wife Pat. He proudly served his country as an Army veteran from 1956 to 1962 and continued serving with his passion as an advocate for Medal of Honor Recipients. He was on a mission to get a MOH plaque for every soldier that deserved one contacting family members and getting the process started. An avid traveler who enjoyed exploring the U.S. including the graves of MOH recipients and national parks, his adventurous spirit was matched only by his generosity and the warmth of his heart.

Joseph will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by a host of loving family members and friends whose lives he touched.
