Karen L Hachey

Oakland - Karen L. Hachey, 63, was a devoted mother, grandmother, and partner.  She unexpectedly passed away on April 27, 2025, with her family by her side at Andwell Hospice House.

She was born on March 2, 1962, in Waterville, Maine, to Napoleon and Germaine Hachey (Dugal).

Karen graduated from Winslow High School.

She is survived by her partner of 13 years, Sewell (Chip) Cole. She is also survived by her sister, Diane Traynor. Her brother-in-law, Jack Carter. Her daughter, Ashely Kemp, and her husband, William. Her son, Nathan Nutter, and his girlfriend, Jen. Her bonus children Shannon Mayhew, and Keith Cole. Her grandchildren, Ava, Rylie, Aria, Jayden. She was predeceased by her parents, Napoleon & Germaine Hachey. Her sister, Linda Carter, and brother-in-law, Mike Traynor, and nephew, Michael (Mickey) Traynor. 

Karen loved animals and wildlife. She especially loved her cat Odie. She loved the ocean and walking on the beach. She was very artistic and enjoyed spending her free time painting. She loved cooking for family and friends. Karen loved playing cards on Friday nights with family and friends. 

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date and time.
