Henry Kee Che, 89 of Verona, N.J., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.


Born and raised in Newark, N.J., Mr. Kee Che proudly served his country in the United States Army, receiving his honorable discharge in 1959. He went on to enjoy a long and successful career as a supervisor with M.C.I. International in Manhattan, New York, where he worked for 35 years before his retirement. In 1972, he and his family made their home in Verona.


Mr. Kee Che was predeceased by his parents; his siblings, George, Benjamin, James, and Violet; and his niece, Tracey. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 59 years, Amy (née Wong) Kee Che; his children, Cynthia Liu and her husband, Benny, and Derek Kee Che; and his cherished grandchildren, Victoria and Stephen Liu. He also leaves behind his brother, John and his wife, Alice; his sister, Evelyn; sister-in-law, Barbara; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Kee Che’s memory to the Verona Rescue Squad, 12 Church Street, Verona, NJ 07044.


At the family’s request, funeral services will be held privately.
