Edwina Louise Beasley

June 2, 1951 – April 26, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Edwina Louise Beasley, age 73, who departed this life on April 26, 2025.

Born on June 2, 1951 in Detroit Michigan to the late L J Wood and Elsie Mae Haney Cooper,

 Edwina lived a life full of grace, strength, and compassion. She was known for her kind heart, unwavering support for those around her, and a spirit that lit up every room she entered. She was a colorful lady that loved life.

Edwina was a devoted mother and grandmother, whose legacy of love and generosity will live on in the lives she touched. Whether through her work, or simply her warm presence and thoughtful words, she made the world a better place every single day. Edwina loved to collect teapots and birds. She loved traveling going to Cataloochee, Cades Cove.

Edwina is survived by her children Cynthia Bradley and David Williams (Bridget). Her grandchildren Kasey Ray (Brian), Ashley Thomason (Reggie), Kimberly Williams (Andrew) and Amy Williams. Four Great Grandchildren and one brother Billy Wood (Diana) and four sisters Pat Eavenson, Linda Huges (Dock), Donna Henry and Connie McClure (Buddy) along with nieces and nephews and numerous family and friends. Edwina is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Bruce Wood and nephews Nicky Franklin and Timothy Wood.

A Celebration of Life for Edwina will be held Sunday May 4, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Smoky Mountain Cremations and Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 prior to the service. Rev. Peter Constantine will officiate. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.

Her laughter, love, and light will never be forgotten.
