Ms. Darlene Parker Norton, 66, of Bradley, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday April 27, 2025, in Bradley, Arkansas.  She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  Most importantly she was a Christian lady who loved God and literally served as a member of Ollie Mae Missionary Baptist Church until death. 

Ms. Norton was born to the late Mr. James Parker and the late Ms. Rosie George – Norton, on October 20, 1958, in Bradley, Arkansas where she was one of thirteen siblings.  She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband of many years, Mr. Johnny Norton, one son, Jonathan Norton and four brothers.  Melvin Parker, James Parker, Jr., Ervin Couch, and Roger Parker.

She is survived by and leaves to cherish her many memories, her only surviving son, Nickless Parker, and his life partner, Ms. Franchase White.  Four brothers, Lenard Parker and Donald Ray Parker, both of Bradley, Arkansas, Richard L. Parker, of Garland City, Arkansas and Ricky Parker of Houston, Texas.  Four sisters, Maebell Redden of Bradley, Arkansas, Ida Florence, Maefrancis Manning, and Della Parker all of Houston Texas.  Seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.  Three very special friends, Juanita Parrish, Debra Parrish and Barbara Lynn Hawkins, all of Bradley, Arkansas and Ms. Velmarie Manning who served as a mother figure who was at her side until death.

Ms. Parker loved to cook for her family and friends, having a good time singing, dancing and fishing.  She was a very active member of Ollie Mae Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and did as much as possible to enhance the Kingdom of God. 

Her service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday May 10, 2025, at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 28 Lafayette 214, Bradley, Arkansas where Pastor Sylvester Tatum will serve as Officiant and Eulogist.  A public visitation will be held at Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home, 415 East First Street, Stamps, Arkansas 71860.  Her interment will be immediately following her service at St. Mary Cemetery Lafayette County Rd. 2, Bradley, Arkansas 71826. 

Masks are optional but highly recommended for the sake of health and well-being.
