Rod McClain Obituary

Rod McClain, age 71, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, with his devoted wife Vickie by his side. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Rod’s family and friends will remember him as a kind and joyful soul who always made time for those he loved.

Rod is survived by his loving wife, Vickie; his sons, Jason and Chris (and daughter-in-law Ashley); and his cherished grandchildren, Isabella, Jacob, Joey, and Lucas. Each of them brought immense happiness to his life, and he adored spending time with them. Rod was also blessed with a large and loving extended family. He is survived by his sister Sharen (and partner Keith); his brothers Donny (and wife Cathy), David (and wife Sherry), and Doug (and wife Rose); as well as his brothers-in-law Wayne (and wife Chuck), Bryan (and wife Joni), and Kevin. In addition, many nieces and nephews will carry on his memory.

Rod was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Vi and Don, as well as his sister Donna and brother Richard. He often spoke of the joy they brought into his life and held their memories close to his heart.

Rod loved to play pool and strum his guitar, but above all else, his greatest delight came from spending time with his grandchildren.

Rod lived life with integrity, humor, and an open heart. Though we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the beautiful legacy of love and joy he leaves behind. His wife Vickie, sons, grandchildren, and entire family will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

In accordance with Rod’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. As we remember Rod, let us celebrate the warmth, kindness, and love he brought into our lives – a legacy that will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
