Benjamin Vernon Woodard, 53, of Girard, died Wednesday, April 23, 2025 near Arcadia, Kansas.
Benjamin was born September 1, 1971 in Wichita, a son of Stanley and Karen (Watne) Woodard. He attended various schools growing up and graduated from high school in Clinton, Michigan.
He served in the US Marines for 4 years.
Benjamin married Susan Crapson on May 22, 2004 in Walnut and Susan survives of the home.
He worked at various hunting lodges in the area and was currently working as a hunting guide at T. & C. Hunt Club in Arcadia.
Benjamin enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, riding in his side by side, and his dogs.
Survivors including his wife, Susan, his sons, Jonathan Woodard, Cole Woodard and Kade Woodard; his brother, John Woodard of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday at the Walnut Cemetery with Pastor John Vulgamore officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard where friends may call after 2:00 p.m., Thursday.
