John Levi Plenty Arrows, Jr. was born on November 9, 1969 in Pine Ridge, SD to John Plenty Arrows, Sr. and Delores Marshall. John made his journey to the Spirit World on April 26, 2025 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

John is survived by his sons, Zane Plenty Arrows & Wade Lee Poor Thunder; brother, Mario Plenty Arrows; sisters, Marietta Vasquez & Patricia DuBray; aunts, Goldie DuBray, Lucinda Hartman, Linda L. Walton, Donna Marshall, & Susanna Marshall; uncles, Eric Marshall and Eddie Marshall; nieces & nephews, Sheila Plenty Arrows, Juanita Deaton, Darion Plenty Arrows, Miyah Means, Priscilla Means, Dario Vasquez III, Donovan Vasquez, and Chloe Vasquez; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Wayne Plenty Arrows, Sr. and Delores Marshall; paternal grandparents, William Plenty Arrows & Mary Young Dog; maternal grandparents, Francis Marshall, Sr. & Cordelia Trouble In Front; and numerous aunts & uncles.
