Joanne Duddy

New London- Joanne M. Duddy, 80, of New London, died Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Beechwood Rehabilitation and Care Center in New London.

She was born July 14, 1944, in Elizabeth, NJ, the daughter of John and Josephine Babbitts Bober. She was the wife of John S. Duddy whom she married May 31st, 1969 in Summerville, MA. He survives her.

Mrs. Duddy had been employed as a billing clerk for the former Bureau of Business Practice (BBP) in Waterford. She was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Women’s Auxiliary and was an avid bingo player.

In addition to her husband John, she is survived by two sons, John Duddy and Joseph Duddy (Catherine); and a daughter Michelle McRae (Ian). She has two sisters, Dolores Drinkwater and Geraldine Vaughn as well as a granddaughter Alexis Marisol Duddy.

Visitation will be on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 2 to 4 pm at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association (at alz.org).
