Darlene M. Ellis, age 68, of Nekoosa, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Darlene was born on March 27, 1957, in Waukegan, IL, to Hargus and Buelah (Smith) Saylor. Darlene married Daniel Ellis on January 18, 1998.

Darlene worked as an engine maker for Chrysler. Outside of work, she loved playing horseshoes with friends, trying her luck at the casino, and playing bingo. Darlene also enjoyed watching American Idol, always cheering on her favorite contestants. One of her greatest joys was caring for her beloved pets, including her Umbrella Cockatoo bird, Paige, and her loyal German Shepherd, Lady, who she had a deep bond with.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Daniel Ellis; children, Tammy Feltner, Amy Feltner, Jessica Farias; 13 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, David (Danielle) Ellis, Michael (Kristina) Ellis, Andy Ellis, Rebekah Ellis, and Amy Knowles-Brienen; 7 step grandchildren; one step great-grandchild on the way; and sister, Debra Saylor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hargus and Buelah Saylor; sister, Sue Hawkins; brother, Paul Saylor; and 3 great grandchildren.
