Ann Palmer Crumpton Obituary

Ann Palmer Crumpton, a beacon of love and faith, entered into eternal rest on April 27, 2025, at the age of 91, in her lifelong hometown of Plant City, Florida. Born on August 9, 1933, Ann's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the joy of music.

Ann's journey began in Plant City, where she grew up surrounded by the warmth of a close-knit community. Her passion for music was evident from an early age, leading her to the prestigious Bernard Academy for Liberal Arts in Manhattan, New York City. There, she honed her talents and later pursued her dream of becoming a classical soloist at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Ann's melodious voice and her dedication to the arts were sources of inspiration to all who knew her.

After a fulfilling education, Ann embarked on a career as a claims adjuster for Aetna Life & Casualty, where she was known for her meticulous work and compassionate nature. Her retirement did not mark the end of her service to others; instead, she dedicated over 20 years as an auxiliary volunteer at South Florida Baptist Hospital. Her unwavering commitment to helping those in need was a hallmark of her character.

Ann's devotion extended to her spiritual life as a cherished member of the choir at the First Baptist Church of Plant City. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and joys. Her voice, both in song and in life, uplifted many and will resonate in the memories of those she touched.

Family was the heart of Ann's world. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bruce D. Crumpton. Her legacy lives on through her children, Debra Rivett, Gary (Michelle) Greene, John Greene, Arthur (Eva) Greene, Richard Greene, and Nancy (Bill) Gerhard. and Dan Terry.  Ann's love multiplied with the joy of her grandchildren, Kade, McKenzie, Sidney, William, Alison, Jennifer and Andrew, and her great-grandchildren, Kasen and Emmy. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit and her teachings of love and kindness.

Those who knew Ann would describe her as loving, kind, and faith-filled. Her presence was a source of strength and comfort, and her actions were a constant reminder of the goodness in humanity. Ann's life was a beautiful melody composed of service, devotion, and the harmony of a family's love.

As we bid farewell to Ann Palmer Crumpton, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy that will continue to inspire. Her journey on earth has ended, but her song will echo eternally in the hearts of those she has left behind. Ann's memory will be cherished, her contributions honored, and her life celebrated as a true embodiment of love and faith.

Ann's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the community of Plant City for their support and companionship throughout Ann's remarkable life.
