LLOYD D. LONZO


Lloyd D. Lonzo, 72, of Ellensburg, Washington, passed away April 26, 2025, at his home. He was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He was a son of Bernice R. (Swensson) and Lloyd E. Lonzo.


Lloyd attended school at the University of Washington and Washington State University. He studied to be a Veterinarian but decided to become a Medical Technologist. He worked as a Med Tech at Yakima Memorial Hospital, Cle Elum Family Medicine Center, and Kittitas Valley Hospital.


In 1976, Lloyd and our parents moved to Cle Elum where Lloyd lived on the family ranch. He and our mother raised and bred Straight Egyptian Arabian Horses and Doberman Pinschers.


Lloyd moved to Ellensburg shortly after our mom passed away in 1995. He bought a place north of Ellensburg where he lived with his 25 plus pugs, his dear friend, Andres Tapia, and his family.


He is survived by his twin sister, Linda J. (Lonzo) Horish, nephew, Tim L. Lenihan, niece, Jennifer L. (Gaytan) Blum.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
