Martha M. Gandara (Teresa Martha Mares) was born

in East Los Angeles on January 30, 1936 to John and Isabel Mares. 

Our Lord called her home on Divine Mercy, Sunday, April 27, 2025. 

She was a faithful and loving wife to Alfredo Archuleta Gandara 

for 51 years until he left us in 2010. 

Martha adored her family. She was a mother of 4 children: Rita, Yoli, Sylvia and David, 8 

grandchildren: Tahitah, Jeanelle, Gabriel, Carl, Joshua, Christopher, 

Sara and Martha; and 4 great grandchildren: Jude, Nathan, Thomas, and Maison. 

Martha was a devout Catholic who attended church every Sunday and Holy Day 

of obligation until her failing health no longer allowed her to.

Her greatest joy was to spend time with her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may also be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
