Karen Leslie Underdahl, 65, of Huntington, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Baptist Health. She was born April 21, 1960, in Ansonia, Connecticut, to Marion Mason.

Karen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who lived a life centered on family and service to others. Known for her generous heart, selfless nature, and unwavering commitment to helping anyone in need, Karen was always there—whether with a warm meal, a helping hand, or simply a listening ear.

While raising her children in Greenwood, Karen became deeply involved in the school community. She served on the PTO, volunteered as a substitute teacher, and poured countless hours into creating costumes for school plays, developing a school habitat, and cultivating a garden to enrich students’ learning experiences. Her creativity, dedication, and passion left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Karen was happiest when surrounded by her family and took immense pride in being a loving homemaker and the heart of her home. She is survived by her husband of over 44 years, Dave Underdahl; her daughter, Amanda Cervantes of Greenwood; her son, Andrew Underdahl of Huntington; and two cherished grandchildren, Alexandria and Raiden Cervantes, who were the light of her life.

Anyone who truly knew Karen knew her strong dislike for funerals. Over the years, she made it very clear that she did not want a traditional service. Instead, she requested that her ashes be spread at her favorite spot on the family property—a special place where she spent countless hours with close family and friends, sharing life's ups and downs, laughter and tears, and making treasured memories. Honoring her wishes, we will celebrate her life in the way she wanted: surrounded by love, nature, and the memories she helped create.

Karen will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her creativity, kindness, strength, and the love she so freely gave.
