Arlene M. DeRobertis (nee Marsdale), 83, of Carlstadt since 1971, raised in Jersey City, passed away on April 27, 2025. Prior to retiring in 2012, she was the Administrative Assistant for Transtehnik U.S.A. in Mahwah for 10 years. Arlene was a former member of the Carlstadt Woman’s Club. She enjoyed performing and making people laugh. Arlene would fundraise for many local organizations by writing and directing plays. When her children were younger, she was involved with all their various activities such as the Wildcat Football Booster Club, Little League, Girl Scouts, Mother’s Club and she ran for councilwoman twice. She was very creative and liked to draw and paint. Beloved wife of the late Eugene P. DeRobertis. Loving mother of Dorothy Lane, Gina Vitarelli, Eugene DeRobertis and his wife Heather, Russell DeRobertis and his wife Susan and mother-in-law of the late Philip Vitarelli. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer DeRobertis, Jamie Koptyra and her husband Richard, Gavin DeRobertis, Carter DeRobertis, Violet DeRobertis and great grandmother of Jayden, Julianna, Hailey and Hannah. Dear sister of Carolee Gross and the late Warren Marsdale, Ernest Marsdale and Dolores Vaughan. Adored aunt of many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Thursday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 120 Hoboken Road, East Rutherford, NJ 07073 or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, nationalmssociety.org.
